Features, in detail

Built for the way estimators actually work.

Every feature exists to remove one manual step between the tape measure and the signed quote. Here's each one, and how it works.

Interface New

Two interfaces, one app — pick yours

The Glass interface puts the 3D model at the centre and floats every tool around it in liquid glass. The classic interface keeps the familiar layout. Both run the same features on the same projects — switch at any time in Settings.

  • Full-screen 3D model; glass panels float over it and never fully hide it
  • An inspector in six categories — room, envelope, finishes, building, systems, fit-out — that follows your selection
  • Four workspaces: Plan, Catalogue, Summary, Settings (Ctrl+1…4)
  • Home hub: start from a preset (room, building, advanced) or pick up a recent project
  • Immersive mode (Ctrl+\) hides every panel to present the model
  • Glass effect adjustable — liquid, light or opaque — and lighter on its own while you orbit
Learning New

An app that explains itself

AIBuild is made to be learned without a manual. Every button, field and heading carries a short explanation, and the app walks you through a complete quote, one step at a time.

  • Guided tour: ten steps, about a minute, on the first launch of the Glass interface
  • Project journey: eight steps from the first room to the finished quote, tracked live, each with a “Show me” button
  • Learn mode (Ctrl+I): hover anything and a card explains its role and its effects
  • Help center (F1): every feature explained and searchable, with “Show me” to find it on screen
  • Command palette (Ctrl+K): type what you want to do instead of hunting for it
  • A keyboard shortcuts sheet, and an ⓘ button on every inspector category

Planning

A 3D model of the job, from a 2D sketch

Draw the floor plan room by room — drag to move, rotate, resize. AIBuild builds the 3D scene instantly and keeps every surface measured, named and priced.

  • Multi-storey projects with stacked levels and level filters
  • Doors, windows, floor and ceiling openings, footprint cutouts
  • Floor-plan photo underlay — trace directly over the architect's plan
  • Click any surface in 3D to assign coverings, trims, zones
  • Automatic dimensions, areas and perimeter annotations

Building

The whole building, not just the finishes

Start from a room or from a house. AIBuild models the structure around your rooms and prices it with the same catalog and the same calculation trail.

  • Rooms of any shape — polygons and curved walls — with sloped, vaulted or free-form ceilings
  • Roofs: gable, hip, mansard, barrel, cone and dome; lost or habitable attic; roof windows and chimneys
  • Framing pre-sized from Eurocode snow and wind loads: rafters, purlins, hips, trusses, glulam
  • External walls and façades, insulation, partitions, drop ceilings, stairs and under-floor buildups
  • Services checked against NF C 15-100, and building networks: risers, manifolds, drains with a fall check
  • Modules (interior, exterior, structure, design) so each job shows only what it needs

Structural figures are an indicative pre-sizing and always come with a disclaimer: they do not replace a design by a qualified engineer.

AI

Product pages become catalog entries

Paste the URL of any supplier product page. A local large-language model reads the page — including the collapsed spec tables — and extracts a clean, structured material.

  • Price, pack size, coverage rate, units per pack ("lot de 6")
  • Color, finish (mat / satin / gloss) and pattern repeat dimensions
  • Real product images attached to the catalog entry automatically
  • Unit dimensions parsed from titles like "L 240 × P 60 × H 90 cm"
  • ≈ 4 seconds per page, fully offline, on your own GPU
POST /analyze url: leroymerlin.fr/…/peinture-tolpro-10l.html → { "name": "Tollens Tolpro mat, 10 L", "price": 139.00, "unit": "bucket", "coverage": "11 m²/L", "colorHex": "#E8E2D4", "finish": "mat", "staleAfter": "90 days" } // 3.9 s, local LLM, zero cloud
AI Beta

One photo → real 3D furniture in the room

Show clients the finished space. From a single product photo, a generative image-to-3D pipeline (TRELLIS) produces a textured 3D model, sized from the real product dimensions and dropped into the project.

  • Works on furniture, radiators, AC units, VMC vents, light points
  • Generated models are draggable and snap to real dimensions
  • No photo? The AI authors parametric geometry from specs alone
  • Deterministic offline fallback when the GPU is busy or absent

Photo → 3D (TRELLIS) is in beta: for now it needs a separate ComfyUI installation and about 12 GB of free VRAM (8 GB in a reduced-quality mode). 3D models built from product specs (no photo) are fully available.

AI

Describe the job — AIBuild does the typing

Speak or type what you see on site. The local AI turns it into project edits, lists them so you can check each line, and applies nothing until you confirm.

  • Voice dictation in eight languages, transcribed on your own GPU
  • Rooms, dimensions, materials per wall, openings, trims, labor, waste and VAT
  • Every proposal is reviewed before it is applied — and undone in one click
  • Question mode: “what is the total paint area?” answered from your project
  • A dictation adapter trained on renovation commands, for more reliable edits
dictation transcribed locally · 3.1 s “Bedroom upstairs, four by three, two coats of white paint on the walls” proposal 2 commands ☑ add room "Bedroom" 4.00 × 3.00 m · level 1 ☑ walls → paint "White mat", 2 coats [ Apply to project ] [ Dismiss ] // nothing changes until you apply · 1 undo step
Estimating

Every euro explains itself

The estimate is a live calculation, not a spreadsheet snapshot. Toggle the calculation trail on any row and see exactly how the number was built.

  • Labor-rate library per trade, prep work priced separately
  • Per-material waste % and VAT % overrides, per-line VAT breakdown
  • Margin distributed transparently across lines
  • Quote number, client block, validity date, company header
  • Export: CSV, print-ready view, PDF or standalone HTML quote with 3D capture
row wall 0 — paint, 2 coats area 10.00 m² × 2 coats = 20.00 m² paint 20.00 ÷ 11 m²/L = 1.82 L buckets 1.82 ÷ 10 L × +10% waste = 1 material 1 × 139.00 € = 139.00 € labor 10 m² × 4.5 €/m² = 45.00 € VAT 20% = 36.80 € line total 220.80 €
Workflow

The small things that save hours

Built daily-driver first: fast, forgiving, and safe to experiment with.

  • Full undo / redo (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y) across the whole project
  • Room templates and "copy level up" for repetitive floors
  • Stale-price badges after 90 days + one-click bulk re-analysis
  • SVG wall elevations for the workshop, wall by wall
  • One-click ZIP backups of all projects and catalog
  • Eight interface languages (Arabic right-to-left included), dark and light themes

Privacy

Local-first, by architecture — not by promise

Projects are plain JSON files on your disk. The AI models run on your GPU. There is no account, no telemetry, and nothing to leak — the app works with the network cable unplugged.

  • All project and catalog data stored locally, fully portable
  • Local AI: no API keys, no per-token costs, no data egress
  • Optional managed tier for teams who prefer hosted AI

On the roadmap

What's next — and what isn't finished yet.

We'd rather be upfront: these features are announced but not finalized, and they are not included at launch.

🎬
Coming soon

3D visit — AI video tour

Available today: plan a camera tour room by room, play it in the 3D view and export keyframe stills. Coming: an AI-rendered video of the visit, generated from those keyframes. It needs a workstation-class GPU (32 GB of VRAM) and is still being validated on complete projects.

☁️
Coming soon

Managed cloud AI

Use the Advanced AI features without a local GPU. Not available at launch — today, Advanced AI runs on your own NVIDIA GPU. Terms and pricing will be announced before it opens.

🧩
Coming soon

Easier setup, more platforms

A guided installer for the photo → 3D engine (in beta today), and Linux and macOS versions. On macOS, Basic only: local AI needs an NVIDIA CUDA GPU.

Features marked “Coming soon” are on our roadmap: they are not included in any plan at launch and are not part of what you pay for today. Their scope and dates may change. Features marked “Beta” work, but their setup or hardware requirements are not final yet.

See what it takes to run it.

The core estimator runs on any modern laptop. The AI toolkit wants a decent GPU — check the details.
